Description
As many Ford enthusiasts know, these Mustangs were custom built by Ford’s SVT (Special Vehicle Team) and only offered as a specially ordered Mustang. The power comes from a specially built, intercooled and supercharged Ford 4.6-liter DOHC (dual overhead cam) V-8 putting out 8 psi of boost and creating 390 horsepower and 390 #ft of torque at the flywheel and exiting through a stainless steel exhaust system. It is backed by a T-56 Tremec 6-speed transmission and a 3.55:1 traction lok differential.
The suspension was specially designed for the Cobra by SVT and included 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, 17”x9” alloy wheels and 275/40ZR/17 Goodyear F1 tires.
Everything functions from the power windows, A/C, to the Mach 460 radio with 6-CD changer.
No modifications have been made; it is all original.
